Why gift a Vinyl Subscription

Some gifts are forgotten by the time a new month rolls around. A Wax & Stamp vinyl subscription is not one of them. For 3, 6 or 12 months, two surprise records land on the doormat each month, ready for the turntable.

Each box holds an album and an EP (sometimes 2 albums if we get lucky), hand-picked by our selectors from brilliant new and obscure music across almost every genre. Nothing mainstream, nothing from the supermarket bargain bin. Alongside the records sits our monthly letter, explaining why each record was chosen, what to listen for and where to go next. It's the part our gift recipients mention most.

Gift FAQ

What exactly will they get?

Two records a month: an album and an EP, chosen by our selectors from new and obscure music across almost every genre, plus our monthly letter explaining each choice. We stay away from the mainstream. Part of the fun is discovering music they'd never have found themselves.

Can I add a personal gift note?

Yes. Tick "This is a gift" at checkout and there's a gift note field, so they know who to thank when the records land.

Can I choose which records they get?

No. If they could choose, it would just be a record shop. Letting our selectors pick is what makes every month a surprise. If you want a flavour of what we send, peek at our previous boxes.

When will the first box arrive?

Straight away. That depends a little bit. Most boxes will go out within a couple of days, but depending on our stock ordering cycle it could be a little longer. If you want to ensure a delivery date, contect us at: [email protected] and we'll try and get you sorted. 

What if they already subscribe, or don't like a record?

If they're already a member, we can arrange a changeover of details so the gift extends their subscription. If a record isn't to their taste, unwanted vinyl is easy to sell on, and collectors rarely mind the addition. (We don't offer returns.)

Do you deliver outside the UK?

Yes. International delivery is available, though it can take a little longer depending on the destination's postal service. UK delivery is free, but delivry outside the UK is charged depending on country.
