The Letter
First of all, thank you to those who sent in great feedback on the Shadeemus album last month. We really appreciate it and will definitely be looking at partnering with more artists next year if pressing times and logistics work out.
Now on to the records. As it is holiday season, we have a bonus month for you - two albums instead of the usual album and single!
Album one is an excellent reissue of Kemba’s 2013 release, “GNK.” Kemba, who used to be known as YC the Cynic, is a lyrically exceptional Bronx MC who we have been following for some time now. Having battled a poor upbringing, violence and huge health issues, he worked as a delivery rider to help pay for the production of his music. If you like this melodic and eloquent work, check out his second album “Negus” as well.
Album two is by Oké, a trio from Bologna composed of veteran producer Andrea "Katzuma" Visani, William Simone, and Andrea Calì. “Oasi (Deserto Remixed)” is a super eclectic remix album with influences including library music, afro-house, and cosmic jazz. This is the ideal album to put on for the early stages of a house party, or getting ready to go out for a long night. The cover features art by the excellent Andrea Casciu who is very well known for his modern surrealist artwork and amazing murals. Enjoy!
That’s it for this year. Happy holidays wherever you are and see you in 2022!
